Michael graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 1982, where he worked for a year before heading off to Leeds and Liverpool Dental Hospitals. He returned to his native North East in 1985 and took over this practice in 1988. Whilst developing the practice and expanding the dental team, he held a part time teaching post for over ten years at Newcastle Dental Hospital. The move to private dentistry has allowed him to maintain his high standards of dental care, which has allowed him to offer a wide range of cosmetic dentistry, including dental implants. He is constantly furthering his knowledge and staying up to date with current dental thinking by attending postgraduate courses and symposiums. He is a keen sportsman and has regularly run the Blaydon and Great North Runs, in addition to competing in team squash. An enthusiastic cyclist, he maintains his green credentials by regularly cycling to work.

Roxanne qualified from the University of Leeds in 2014. She has a special interest in the cosmetic application of dentistry and has experience in carrying out simple restorative cases. Roxanne also offers Invisalign and Facial Rejuvenation.
A diligent and dedicated dentist, Roxanne offers excellence in all aspects of dentistry. She prides herself on being an adaptable and friendly dental professional who gets on well with her patients and colleagues.
When not treating her patients to the highest levels of care, Roxanne loves indulging in high-energy activities such as running, skiing and exercise classes. She also enjoys travelling, as well as cooking and painting when relaxing at home.

Phillip qualified from Bristol University in 2003,having gained his BDS degree and a special commendation for his endodontic ( Root canal treatment) final exam. He joined the practice back in August 2004, after a year in a practice in Bishop Auckland, and he is thoroughly enjoying his time here. He enjoys all aspects of general practice, but finds crown and bridge work the most satisfying. He enjoys attending courses designed to keep his knowledge up to date, and feels its very important to continue to learn throughout a dental professionals career. He currently lives near Consett in Co. Durham, and despite the harsh winter weather, enjoys living out in the country. He enjoys running, cycling, and going to the gym, socialising and cinema with friends.

Yvonne Robinson is our other hygienist. She qualified at Manchester Dental Hospital 1975 and she has been with us since 2005 and really enjoys working with the team. Yvonne is a keen dancer competing in national competitions!
I qualified as a dental nurse in 1996 then qualified in dental radiography in 2001. I have worked in dentistry for over 25 years and managed dental practices for 16 years. I love working with people and all aspects of dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy spending time walking baking and watching rugby with my little boy.

I’ve worked here since 1995, I like talking and meeting people and getting to know our patients. At home i enjoy family time mainly with my partner and daughter. In my spare time i enjoy going to the gym, cooking and holidays.
